Singing in the reign

Art matters...

I went Sunday afternoon (in my capacity as a reviewer for San Francisco Classical Voice) to a voice recital of art songs. Often that seems an over-refined genre, but here, because of the soprano’s dramatic and committed singing, it became an act of power and resistance. The music reminded me that as the administration moves towards kingship, we can, MUST, do our thing… singing, writing, organizing, landscaping, lawyering… and it MATTERS if we do it with commitment.
